Within a year before his own death, and shortly after Gerald's, Sean, along with Gordon and Gerald Levert-protege Dwight Thompson (formerly of the R&B group Rude Boys) recorded a Levert reunion album and had successful performances in many cities across the country. Their hits included "Baby I'm Ready," "(Pop, Pop, Pop, Pop) Goes My Mind" and "Casanova." After his brother Gerald embarked on an undisputed solo career, Sean appeared in movies, including "New Jack City" and "Dope Case Pending." At Gerald Levert's funeral in November 2006, Sean Levert and his father performed "Dance With My Father" and personalized the words for Gerald. Along Gerald and childhood friend Marc Gordon, they formed the Grammy nominated R&B group LeVert. Son of The O'Jays founder Eddie Levert and brother to the late R&B crooner Gerald Levert, he came from a musical family background, with influences by the likes of James Brown and Marvin Gaye.
